Its author, a Salesian priest and an eyewitness to the death “of the great chief Mr. Valentín Say Hueque (…) on September 8, 1903 in his tent at La Piedra de Sotel, on the banks of the Genua River, in Chubut. (San Martín Colony) ”, gives us an interesting travel story, with the ascent to Domuyo and various excursions through Neuquén territory. In addition to the description of the sites, Carbajal addresses the legends and myths that are embodied in the different geographical features visited.


Explorer and naturalist, Carbajal died at 35 years of age as a result of an accident suffered while exploring Mount Domuyo. SEH-IX
