Rare. Quarto (24 x 14.8 cm), 251 pp., includes Title page blank, 1 sheet. Modern binding with leather spine and gilt titles. The work is in very good condition. Not in Suarez. Not in the Historical Bibliography of Argentine Medicine, by Antonio Alberto Guerrino.

"Prostitution in the Argentine Republic -says Loza- and in its large towns mainly, has been developing in a surprising way to such an extent that the rapid increase shown by its statistics is incredible", to complain a little later about the inaction of our rulers…

The issue in those years was addressed from a health point of view, not from women's rights, and the activity was even regulated by regulations issued at the municipal level where they only repressed "clandestine prostitution", understanding as such that exercised outside the houses enabled for it. This is indicated by Dr. Loza, he divides it into registered and clandestine, but warning that both offer serious dangers to public health.

His authorship is also the book "Sala de Socorros" referring to free medical assistance for the poor; he himself and in his capacity as his doctor was responsible for that room dedicated to the needy and helpless.

Some time later, he published another text authored by him, "Impressions and memories or Portfolio of a soldier."
